Short bio:

Run Remedy is Robin Koob — an ex-evangelical violin nerd turned alt-indie sad girl with a sense of humor.

Born in Jersey and forged in church choirs and string quartets, she now stomps through the streets of Manchester, crafting songs that are equal parts shoegaze, diary entry, and stand-up set.

With the recent release of her debut album, Xtian Skate Night, she's caught the ears of BBC 6 Music, with strong support and airplay from some of the station’s most beloved DJs.

Her music swerves from grief to giggles without warning — diving into everything from religious trauma to secret crushes and awkward family dinners. The result? Heartfelt, catchy, and just unhinged enough to feel like a fun therapy session.

Longer Bio:

Run Remedy is Robin Koob — an ex-evangelical violin nerd turned alt-indie sad girl with a sense of humor.

Born in Jersey, forged in church choirs and string quartets, she now stomps the streets of Manchester, crafting songs that are part shoegaze, part diary entry, part stand-up set.

Her music swerves from grief to giggles without warning — exploring everything from religious trauma to secret crushes and awkward family dinners. The result is heartfelt, catchy, and just unhinged enough for a fun therapy session.

Her sound is “pure, blissful, lo-fi dreaminess” (The Line of Best Fit) praised for her “subtle folk influences and brittle yet beautiful experimental electronic textures” (The Most Radicalist). Her voice is “tender and introspective,” with emotion that cuts deep — or as BBC Radio Manchester put it: “Genre-bending brilliance… hauntingly beautiful. The daughter of two preachers with the voice of an angel.”

With the recent release of her debut album, Xtian Skate Night, tracks like Kerosene, Disciple, and the titular track, Xtian Skate Night have received high praise and airplay from BBC 6 DJs like Guy Garvey (“ a fantastic songwriter, really special”), Craig Charles (“dreamy… a moment of calm”), Amy Lamé ( “some darned good tunes”) and When the Horn Blows, who called her work “one of the most beautifully sincere pieces of music of the year.”

Whether she's singing about holy ghosts or hopeless crushes, Run Remedy makes music that’s candid and cool, raw and tender — “intimacy cloaked in the paranoia of a closeted teen” (Under the Radar) — and always, unmistakably, her own.
